Chair yoga uses the chair as a prop for movement sequences. The class begins sitting in the chair with stretches. Props are used to enhance movement control, resistance, and alignment. Optional standing postures are used to strengthen the legs, gain balance and range of motion. The final portion of the class is in the chair for breath practice and relaxation.
